Why don’t the numbers and outlines get covered by the paint? How can I fix this?

This issue often occurs with lighter paint colors, as their pigment is less opaque. Try applying a second layer to cover the outlines and numbers.
Also you can use a white correction pen to cover the numbers, then paint over it once it dries.
